I mean, what the hell is the point of introducing your game to PC if you’re going to make modding it a complete nightmare? It goes against the entirety of what most people get into PC gaming for: customization and modding to create an experience you can’t get via console gaming.

Most of the game could be considered a tutorial, but it's like Portal where that's not necessarily a bad thing. You get more and more freedom with what you build as the story continues, and more and more items to build with get unlocked. I think new dialogue responses do open up in response to your character doing certain things, but there aren't a lot of those if there are. Outside of the main plot the story NPCs have a lot more to say, but once they've finished their plot beats they just cycle through some dialogue responses.
